A 44-year-old woman was arrested on Oct 26 after she allegedly attacked two people with a knife at Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre.

The police said they received a call for assistance at 756 Upper Serangoon Road at about 12.20pm.

The woman, who had allegedly attacked two other women, was subdued by members of the public, said the police.

She was arrested by the police for voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon, and will also be referred for psychiatric assessment.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 44-year-old woman had acted alone.

The two women who were allegedly attacked, aged 36 and 44, were injured and taken to the hospital conscious.

A knife was seized by the police.

Police investigations are ongoing.
