A total of 14 non-compliant mobile devices were impounded islandwide by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in October.

Active mobility enforcement officers also detected 80 offences during regular enforcement operations against errant active mobility users islandwide, said LTA in a Nov 12 social media post.

"We also conducted a two-day op at Tiong Bahru Plaza and Our Tampines Hub in response to public feedback about errant riding of motorised devices on footpaths," said LTA.

"If you spot errant path users, report them at www.lta.gov.sg/feedback. We will consider your feedback in planning our enforcement operation."

The offence of using a non-compliant mobile device carries a fine up to $10,000, imprisonment up to six months or both.

A repeat offender may be liable to a fine up to $20,000, imprisonment up to 12 months or both.
