Race 1 (1,000m)
A tough start to a good card.
(1) FLIGHT ENGINEER has been a disappointment at this centre but is quite capable of beating this weak field.
(2) HOUSE OF SUSSEX has been consistent of late and has a winning chance.
(8) FANTASY GIRL needed her comeback run and should show vast improvement. She can go close to winning on best form.
(9) DARLING GIRL makes her local debut and should improve.
Race 2 (1,000m)
An interesting race for juvenile fillies.
(5) JUST ONE KISS is a Canford Cliffs filly and this year Alan Greeff has been very successful with his juveniles. She will not be a surprise winner.
(7) SPORTS FAN has run two good races so far and that experience could help her win.
Sire Erik The Red has done well with his juveniles and (1) DANISH DYNAMITE could be ready to win on debut.
(3) ICED MARMALADE did not run badly on debut and could get involved with the finish once again.
Race 3 (1,000m)
(2) MUNCHKIN did not get a clear run last time. This is more his distance and he can score in a very competitive handicap.
(4) WORDSWORTH is not reliable but quite capable of winning.
(6) SMASHING is better than her last run would suggest and can earn some money.
(8) BONJOUR LA VILLE bounced back with a solid enough win last time and could be better than her handicap mark.
(14) ANOTHERDAYINAFRICA could be the surprise package of the race.
Race 4 (1,600m)
Probably the most competitive handicap on the card.
(9) DUMISANI has been running in better fields than this recently and could pop up off her very low merit-rating.
(2) IN THE GREEN ZONE should like it back on the turf and is clearly not out of it.
Stable companion (3) HAPHAZARD and (4) COURAGEOUS have been unreliable of late but both are clearly capable of beating these rivals if at their best.
Race 5 (1,600m)
(7) LUNA HALO was too far back last time and did well to finish where she did. She has been suited to this distance of late and can bounce back to score. It is a tough race full of hard-knockers.
(11) CHEEKY LADDIE is in very good form. It is interesting that the blinkers are carded to be removed as he has done very well with the use of them of late.
(4) GOLDEN PEACE won well on local debut and would not be a surprise winner.
(5) GLOBAL ALLY is consistent and can earn some more money.
Race 6 (1,200m)
(1) STRATA has won her last two turf races and she was not beaten far on the Polytrack last time. She is the one to beat.
(5) MS PATTY has won both local starts and could pull off her hat-trick.
(3) INDEBE MAYIBUYE may have needed her local debut and could improve.
(6) SHARAPOVA is very consistent and can be competitive.
Race 7 (1,200m)
Greeff saddles five of the eight runners for this, including star filly (6) HOT SAUCE. The daughter of Canford Cliffs impressed on debut and can follow up.
Stable companion (4) ANOTHERDANCEFORME is unbeaten in three starts and impressed with a runaway victory last time.
(7) INSTAWORTHY and (8) SILVA CITY are the two with the most experience and they can both be concerned with the finish.
Race 8 (2,400m)
(1) MY BEST SHOT is clearly the best in this field. He has only won up to 1,600m and has yet to be tested over further, so this will be his toughest task so far.
Stable companions (3) MASTER FORESTER and (4) MISTER SPEAKER have not been too far behind My Best Shot in some runs and could like this longer distance. Three fillies are in good form.
(9) LOTUS ISLAND has won her last three starts. Deserves respect.
(10) HONORABLE MEMBER was touched off by that rival last time and deserves respect for that.
(11) FIRST WISH has progressed nicely since stepped up in distance and could also earn some money.
Race 9 (2,000m)
(8) HEART STEALER looked a bit of an unlucky loser last time and could make amends.
(7) JUAN CARLOS is very consistent and is suited to this course and distance.
(5) GIMME MORE TIME has been unreliable of late but would not be a surprise winner.
(9) PAINITE remains in good form and also has claims.
