Race 1 (1,200m)

(2) DUCHESS OF SEVILLE seems a bit better than she showed first time with blinkers and is overdue a first victory.

(1) RUBY CLAIRE is knocking at the door and should fight out the finish.

(4) MIDWICKET can improve trying the Polytrack.

(5) TIME IN PARIS has improved since wearing blinkers and can contest the finish again.

Race 2 (1,200m)

(1) FLIGHT ENGINEER tries the Polytrack this time and could bounce back to score.

(3) BROOKSIDER is usually competitive and should fight out the finish of this race.

(2) CHIEF RUNNER flopped on local debut but would not be a surprise winner trying the Polytrack.

(5) WAR LOVER looks capable of further improvement.

(7) PYRO PRINCE was well beaten in both starts but is capable of improvement after a change of trainer and trying this surface.

Race 3 (1,000m)

(3) MONTELENA has not stopped improving and should fight out the finish again.

(5) WOMAN OF POWER likes the Polytrack and has a winning chance.

(2) LOVEGRASS may be better on the turf but she can also get involved with the finish once again.

(6) ELLORIX is capable of an upset this track and trip.

Race 4 (1,600m)

(4) HOSPICES DE BEAUNE makes his local debut after a change of trainer and could score.

The last run of (1) AMERICAN MATADOR is clearly worth ignoring and he can win.

(2) ALWAYS SHINING likes the Polytrack and can go close to winning.

(3) CLIFFIE CLAVIN is not without ability and completes the shortlist.

Race 5 (1,600m)

(4) CORAL CREEK is probably best on the turf but he did run well on this surface last time and jockey Richard Fourie knows how to get the best out of him.

(3) SILVER TYCOON is capable of getting into the thick of things when in the mood.

(6) BOSNAY likes the Polytrack but is not well drawn.

(7) A BIT CHILLY showed improvement last time and could have more to offer.

Race 6 (1,600m)

(2) ARABIAN RED was not disgraced when third in a better field than this last time. She has won her last three starts on this surface and can score again.

(3) COULDITBE has some fair form and should fight it out.

(4) CALL TO GLORY and stable companion (6) CONCERTO have not been reliable of late but both are capable of earning some more money.

Race 7 (1,200m)

(8) MS GALORE has been unlucky in both starts and although drawn a little wide she does look progressive in a modest field.

(5) CATAVAR disappointed from a wide draw last run after a good previous effort. He has a better gate.

(10) DANUBE returns from a spell on the Highveld and has not been far back.

(1) THAT'S ALL BROTHER can show up.

Race 8 (1,300m)

(5) SHARAPOVA has been a disappointment in that she has not won for some time now but she is very consistent and one of these days she will have that consistency rewarded with a victory.

(11) PASHTUNWALI returns from a break and has a winning chance.

(8) NOTORIX and (9) SWISS WALT both lack a strong finish when they need it most but are not out of it.

Race 9 (1,200m)

(7) PURPLE POWAHOUSE has been consistent and should be in the mix again.

The filly (10) GLAMORZ found good market support last time over course and distance and failed narrowly. She can go one better.

(12) DRIVE BY has drawn wide but was close-up over course and distance last time.

(11) BRASS BELL has also drawn wide and is something of a Poly specialist but hardly ever puts in a bad effort.

Race 10 (1,300m)

(9) KING RAHUL did not run badly last time and could do even better this time around.

(3) GLOBETONIC has held his form well of late and could follow up on his good last win.

(1) CHILI BOMB showed what he is capable of with a wide-margin maiden win and can follow up.

(5) IN THE GREEN ZONE tries further on this surface and is capable of an upset.

Race 11 (1,200m)

(5) KHETHIWE'S DESTINY needed her last run and takes on some well exposed runners.

(4) CONVOCATION confirmed the form of her penultimate start when winning next time out.

(2) BEVIES DELIGHT flatters to deceive but is smart on her day while (1) GET IN THE Q is way better than her last effort.

Race 12 (1,900m)

(6) JACK IN THE GREEN has improved with blinkers but did not show his best last time.

(7) ROLL OF THE DICE can go all the way if allowed a soft lead.

(1) STREWN SKY has changed trainers. Can be a surprise winner.

(2) DOWNING SEVEN can upset at this course and distance.

Race 13 (1,600m)

(3) GIVE ME EVERYTHING is unbeaten since shedding her maiden. She can keep winning.

(1) SOVEREIGN GRANT has top weight but the best of the draw.

(12) SHE'S A BOMBER has plenty of promise and the drop in trip could be in her favour.

(7) ICE SUNSATION has place claims.

Race 14 (1,200m)

(6) TEFLON MAN suddenly found form at Kenilworth last run in a smart field.

(1) SHIPHOLIA has been running well in good company.

(7) ANFIELDS ROCKET has patchy form but is smart on his day.

(8) AFRICAN SKYLINE won over a mile last time but he does seem better over sprints.

Race 15 (1,400m)

(1) GIMMIE'S COUNTESS has been racing in top features in the Cape. But she is not short of rivals.

(2) GREEN SAPPHIRE has yet to finish further back than second. Drawn next to Gimmie's Countess.

(4) REGENERATION needed her comeback run and can feature while (7) WARRIOR ROYALE goes well over this course and distance.

Race 16 (1,400m)

(8) O'TENIKWA has drawn widest in a small field. Though well beaten at Kenilworth, it was a big field.

(6) CYMRIC found his best form last time and is rarely unplaced.

(7) CATS PAJAMAS won well last time beating some useful horses.

(5) OXALIS GOLD won well enough last time to be competitive.

Race 17 (1,200m)

(3) TWO G'S won well first run up from the Cape. Looks progressive.

(5) BLOWIN IN THE WIND is way better than her last run when returning from a lengthy break.

(12) CHELSEA FLOWER has a wide draw and a big weight but is tough as they come.

(13) COLORADO CREEK will need luck from the wide draw.

Race 18 (1,200m)

(2) HAPPY ANALIA found one too good in stable companion One Smart Cookie last run.

(14) EMERALD GREEN had a green apprentice up last time.

(5) AVERNIAN GODDESS is down in the handicap. Go close.

(4) BUTTERCUP BABY is lightly raced and can improve on her handicap debut.
