(5) CUZZIE made dramatic improvement last start. He has not drawn badly this time and is bred to get the extra.
(7) BAD MEDICINE lost no marks when running from near the front in testing conditions. He can keep his head in front for his new yard.
(6) FIRE FORCE has been running on strongly but he needs to get going in time or jump better, as that has been a bad habit of his.
(3) SILVER PLATTER is another to take seriously. He was ready to win before rest but may need it.

(9) JP'S PALACE is going about things the right way for his yard. He is getting better with time and should see out the 2,000m but a wide draw is a concern.
(8) ARVERNI KING was a few lengths behind the former three starts back, but he was returning from a break and has since made good strides.
(5) KADIZORA hit the front in her last start and perhaps just needs to get the timing right.
(6) LUCRETIUS must be respected in this.

(10) PONGOLA caught the eye in a slightly stronger grade and should enjoy the drop in class. Drawn wide but he runs on.
(9) BASIE RAAKVAAT gave signs in his last start he could be in the firing line soon.
(6) FUTURE SAINT was beaten in a close finish and may step up on that for his overdue next win.
(2) ANIMAL IMPACT's last run, when he set the pace on sticky ground after a rest, is best ignored. His penultimate run was fair and he has drawn well.

(7) I SALUTE YOU and (5) KITCHAKAL fought out second and third behind the progressive Johnny The Thief. The former is open to improvement with blinkers fitted.
(1) FIELD MARSHAL had excuses when only just beaten. From gate 1, should have every chance.
(6) SIGN OF FATE has done best over the track and trip. Being best weighted, could get into the action.

(2) GLADATORIAN has earned a merit rating of 123 and should be hard to beat if ready after a rest.
(3) MISS PLATINA is in the form of her life, has fitness on her side and comes in with just 50.5kg.
(4) MADISON VALLEY has class and, even though this is short, he could nevertheless be dangerous.
(1) WINTER GAMES has been running on powerfully at the business end. Must be taken seriously from gate 1.

(6) TERMINATOR found his best form winning from the front as he liked. He relished soft going then but has won on fast ground too.
(7) MISTER NIBBLES came back to form when beaten two lengths by the former and, courtesy of his claiming apprentice is 6.5kg better off, so rates a big threat.
Watch out for (1) BOWIE who is dropping in class.
(4) BURNING MAN is in good form and has the pace to challenge for the lead.

(9) PAPA C caught the eye in his second run after a rest and, if getting a bit of luck from a slightly wide gate, could get back to winning ways.
(1) CHILL IN THE AIR won his maiden in good fashion and may have improved during time off.
(8) JAZZ FESTIVAL is a worthy each-way chance.
(2) FESTIVAL OF MAGIC has drawn nicely again and has earning potential.

(7) TWENTY ONE MAY has been holding form nicely and would be a deserving winner.
(4) DONQUERARI was gallant in defeat last time. In good form.
(2) IBHELE has been a bit disappointing. He could go better with a change of tactics.
(1) MOJO MAN needed his local debut. He has drawn best and needs to be respected.
