Race 1 (1,400m)

Race 1 (1,400m)

5 Super Express has shown plenty of promise in multiple trials and looks to have the talent to figure immediately. Barrier 3 and Ryan Moore are in his favour.

4 Top Dragon looks ready for the step-up to 1,400m after three runs over 1,200m, two of which saw him narrowly denied. He is primed to break through.

7 Fortune Boy overcame a wide draw over 1,200m and charged home late into fourth in the same race as Top Dragon. The rise to 1,400m should suit.

2 Forerunner is mostly consistent, winning well two starts ago before backing it up with a close second last time.

Race 2 (1,400m)

5 Divano came from last to finish second to My Wish in the Classic Mile, before being steadied early in the Classic Cup and was never a threat. The drop back in trip suits.

3 Packing Hermod also comes out of the Classic Mile and Classic Cup, running third as the favourite in the Mile before finding 1,800m a stretch too far in the Cup. Defeated Rubylot four runs ago.

2 Young Champion bounced back to winning ways last start and did it in style. Now that he has found form again, he could continue rising in the ratings.

1 Healthy Happy looks poised to receive a sweet run up on the pace. Though winless for some time, he ran second to Young Champion last start.

Race 3 (1,400m)

2 Spirit Of Peace notched his first win two starts ago in impressive fashion, before switching to Sha Tin and rising to 1,400m when he flashed home late into fourth. Ready to bounce back.

12 Lucky Sam Gor is a progressive three-year-old trending in the right direction and should make his presence felt fourth-up, dropping back to 1,400m.

3 Harold Win comes out of the same race as Lucky Sam Gor. He returned to Class 4 last time and showed immediate improvement, overcoming a wide draw to map handily before finishing third.

8 Flying Amani closed off nicely late into sixth on debut, beaten less than 4 lengths.

Race 4 (1,200m)

4 Ahren closed in hard from the rear to finish less than a length second to Crossborderpegasus on debut. That form should hold up well.

1 Enjoy Golf has been ultra-consistent in all three runs over 1,000m this season, racking up a string of seconds. The step-up to 1,200m should suit.

3 Parterre returned to Class 4 last start, worked across from barrier 10 to press forward and lead, giving a good sight before being collared late. In the mix.

5 Quick Contribution resumes first-up and has trialled well for his return. The three-year-old showed good improvement second-up run when third behind Sky Joy, and he should have more to offer.

Race 5 (1,400m)

9 Endeared has often been hampered by wide draws but still performed well. Moving into gate 1 is an advantage.

4 Armour War Eagle broke through for his first local win last start. There is no reason he should not be competitive again.

7 Solid Impact's fast-finishing third to Bundle Award two runs ago reads well for this.

6 Everyone's Star reared at the start last time. Debut effort two starts ago suggests he has promise.

Race 6 (1,600m)

10 Mister Dapper atoned last time with a dominant victory at this course and trip. He should be hard to beat again.

6 Oriental Smoke has been beaten by wide draws since returning to Class 4. From barrier 4, he gets a better chance.

8 Lucky Fionn scored a well-overdue maiden win victory over 1,400m last start. He should remain competitive.

11 Gale Saga has also been plagued by wide draws. A better run in transit could see him improve.

Race 7 (2,000m) THE BMW HONG KONG DERBY

1 Rubylot ran sixth in the Classic Mile before emerging late in the Classic Cup to score. With little separating the top picks, it will come down to the tempo.

2 My Wish won the Classic Mile before getting edged out late by Rubylot in the Classic Cup. That race showed he might be the one they all have to gun down late.

5 Bundle Award has emerged as a serious Derby contender after his last-start win over 1,800m.

3 Johannes Brahms remains firmly in the mix after a near last-to-third effort in the Classic Cup, finishing just 1½ lengths off Rubylot.

Race 8 (1,200m)

3 Masterofmyuniverse closed in strongly late for third last time. He has since trialled well and looks hard to hold out.

4 Pakistan Legacy is now third-up in Hong Kong after two encouraging efforts. He should strip fitter.

1 Lady's Choice drops back into Class 3, where he is better suited. He should press forward and make his own luck in the run.

8 Crimson Flash was game on pace in the same race as Masterofmyuniverse last start, only feeling the pinch late to finish fourth.

Race 9 (1,200m)

4 Magnifique won back-to-back Class 4 races in dominant fashion despite a wide barrier last time. Up in Class 3, but his trial suggests he remains in top form.

1 Invincible Shield bounced back second-up from barrier 1, beating Lifeline Express. Should go close.

3 Triumphant More boasts the same formline, having also won over Lifeline Express last start, and now holds a strong record of three wins from five starts.

2 Super Legends stuck on well for fourth behind Triumphant More last start and can turn the tables with a smoother trip.

Race 10 (1,800m)

6 Enthralled failed to make the final cut for the Derby, but he is a four-year-old who secured his first local success at just his third attempt. Will take plenty of beating.

3 Pray For Mir loves to make his own luck on the pace. Fought it out with Enthralled last start, going down by only a neck on the wire.

2 Mondial was up against it on local debut in the Classic Cup. Has improved at the trials since and can do better in an easier contest.

10 Winning Wing is trending the right way after a close-up second to Sky Heart third-up. He has since won his trial impressively.
