(3) LITTLEMISSSPLENDID acquitted herself well on debut against male opposition, including former winners. With natural improvement, she should play a leading role.

(9) VANAKKAM and (4) MATTER OF TRUST are well-bred newcomers worth a market check on debut.

(5) PRINCESS KEIRA caught the eye when fourth in a feature last time and she need not improve much to have a say in the outcome.

Race 2 (1,160m)

(5) SIMBINE and (2) CARNARVON come on appreciably after satisfactory debuts and they should be competitive.

(3) ESTEEMED and (6) SINGLETON SAM are attractively bred, so betting support would speak volumes of their chances on debut.

Race 3 (1,250m)

(1) DUCHESS OF PALOMA ran a much better race behind Rahhabba on Feb 11. She finds a winnable race and from a good draw, there should be no excuses for this filly.

(5) JOUEUR DE FLUTE will have a big winning chance if he gets some luck in running.

(2) JOHNNY DRAMA stayed on well with the blinkers fitted last start and if he can build on that performance, he could trouble them in the finish.

(6) STU'S GIRL is much better than her last run, she drops in trip and could sneak into the places.

Race 4 (1,000m)

(3) OLD FASHIONED sets the standard on all exposed form and he need not improve much to go one better.

(6) RINGHO and (5) TURF GURU have earning potential.

(2) HEMISPHERE is open to any amount of improvement on his reappearance.

Race 5 (1,250m)

(3) GOOD FOR YOU ran a cracking race last time. With a good draw and the blinkers fitted - he will be very hard to beat.

(8) DIAMOND DAYS drops back in trip and if he gets some luck in running from a wide draw, he could earn.

(2) SO AMERICAN comes back to the races from a break. He would need to improve quite a bit to win a race like this but he has got experience and a good draw.

Justin Snaith's newcomer (5) RANDOLPH HEARST should be in the placings.

Race 6 (1,400m)

(1) DYLAN'S CHAMP has been costly to follow but would not be winning out of turn.

Filly (9) SAUDI SWEEP with a 3kg sex allowance and returning (2) OBSIDIAN have shown enough to trouble the selection.

Race 7 (1,250m)

(5) CLIFFSCAPE has run two very good races in succession. Her form is good and will be hard to beat.

(7) UNA THE UNICORN was well beaten on debut. She can only improve.

(3) ELECTROMAGNETISM finished seven lengths behind Military Command on debut. She will appreciate the step-up in trip.

(6) WEDDING VOW is interesting and could be anything on debut.

Race 8 (1,400m)

(4) CAPE SAFFRON put three lengths between herself and familiar foe (6) WEARINGOFTHEGREEN over track and trip last time and a repeat of that performance should suffice.

(2) WINDS OF GRACE is likely to improve over this extended trip.

(3) ART NOUVEAU completes the shortlist.

Race 9 (1,400m)

(6) CAPTAIN WEST is a lovely looking horse with tons of ability and if he puts his best foot forward, he will go very close to winning.

(1) POWERANDTHEGLORY was caught a long way back from a bad draw, and then stayed on well late last time. He will improve tons from that run.

(2) MAURITIUS KESTREL has never run a bad race. He has run behind some very smart horses and must be respected.

(4) WE HAVE TOUCHDOWN is much better than his recent form. He will appreciate the step-up in trip.

Race 10 (1,400m)

Recent course-and-distance winner (1) JUST VAR remains competitive for victory despite a five-point penalty.

Follow the progress of fellow last-start scorer (4) FUTURENAIRE, who is open to further improvement over this extended trip.

(6) TOKYO MEDAGLIA, another last-start winner, and recent eye-catcher (2) SIGRID SWING, who was a fast-finishing third on the inside track last time, are others with genuine podium ambitions.

Race 11 (1,400m)

(4) GOLDEN ANGEL'S yard has always held this filly in high regard and from a good draw in a weak looking race, she should be right there in the finish.

(6) GRIPEN was heavily supported last time when finishing second. There is no doubt he will have a winning chance.

(3) OZARK is much better than his recent form and should bounce back to his best from a good draw.

(5) IM THE BUZZ has dropped in the ratings and has dropped in trip - watch for big improvement.

Race 12 (1,600m)

(1) ARISTOTLE caught the eye when third in the Grade 2 Gauteng Guineas over track and trip and only needs to repeat that performance to resume winning ways.

(4) KAMENSKY finished behind progressive last-start winner (2) ROYAL FORCE last time but is weighted to avenge that defeat.

(5) ONE MORE STAR has the means to get involved.

Race 13 (1,800m)

(6) REGULATION took off late to run second last time. He is improving with every run and will love the step-up in trip.

(1) KWITE A KING never ran a bad race and should be on the premises late with jockey Richard Fourie in the saddle from a good draw.

(3) DUBBELOSIX won his maiden exceptionally well. He looks progressive and should keep improving.

(2) CHOLLIMA quickened up smartly to win a good race last time. He was penalised six points for that victory, but jockey Ashton Arries knows him well and he could be competitive late.

Race 14 (2,000m)

(6) APACHE SON, (7) TOTAL SURRENDER and (4) STAR COIN are closely matched on the form of a recent meeting but it could pay to side with the latter, who is better off on these revised weights.

(5) WHAFEEF should not be underestimated.

Race 15 (1,600m)

(9) MY ONLY WEAKNESS finished strongly late to win well last time. With the blinkers removed and if she gets some luck in running from a wide draw, she will have a good winning chance.

(11) FAMILY POWER had absolutely no luck in running last time taken up for several strides going through the 300m mark. The draw will not help her chances, but she will be running on strongly. Watch her late.

(4) FUN ZONE needs a particular ride and if the race works out for her, she could easily trouble them in the finish.

(5) LADY LOOK ALIKE has dropped nicely in the ratings and could be some value in what looks a tough race.

Race 16 (1,160m)

(6) KARATE KID was the subject of spirited betting support in a feature last time but fluffed his chances at the start. He should improve.

(5) MOUNT PILATUS with Muzi Yeni on could challenge.

(4) QUANTUM THEORY has the form and experience, as does stablemate (1) MRS BROWNING.

Race 17 (1,000m)

(3) ELECTRIC FEELS ran on well from a long way back in her last start and there is no doubt she will be attacking the line hard from a nice draw.

(8) CHAMPAGNE MAC ran a decent race last time with the blinkers on and if he can beat the draw, he will be in the finish.

(5) COUNTRY TIME moved up like a winner in her last start. She will be running on powerfully late.

(6) POETIC PRINCESS won a good enough race last time and with that confidence booster under the belt, she could certainly improve.

Race 18 (1,000m)

Consistent (7) PACIFIC would not be winning out of turn after a fast-finishing and close-up third on the inside track last time.

(5) SAMOA, (9) DANCING DORA and (1) IN THE ETHER are hard-knocking veteran mares with the form and experience to also play leading roles.
