Race 1 (1,000m)

(1) ANOTHERDANCEFORME was well backed at her debut win. She took her time in finding her best stride but she did quicken well to score. She can follow up.

(2) BONJOUR LA VILLE showed signs of inexperience in both her starts but did finish runner-up behind that rival last time and should fight out the finish again.

(8) STAR OF ELENA debuts for the Gavin Smith-Craig Zackey pair. Could be a threat on debut.

(3) CALL MY BLUFF is a Capetown Noir making her debut and she can contest the finish.

Race 2 (1.400m)

(1) AMERICAN MATADOR has looked much improved of late, finishing a runner-up in his last two starts. Well suited to this course and distance and is the one to beat.

(2) CHILI BOMB has been a disappointment in that he has yet to win. He usually runs on late and has a winning chance.

(6) ANCHOR MAN has held his form and can contest the finish again.

(3) MASTER INCOLOR showed improvement on local debut and can do even better this time around.

Race 3 (1,400m)

(2) FIRE ALARM is improving and should make a bold bid at scoring this time.

(3) GLOBAL SCENE is better than her last run would suggest and should fight out the finish this time.

(9) BEACH QUEEN makes the trip from the Western Cape, so is capable of vast improvement.

(7) DANCING IN WINTER should be involved in the finish.

Race 4 (1.400m)

(1) MY BEST SHOT has been very impressive of late. He is seeking a hat-trick and could pull it off as this course and distance clearly suits.

(7) GLOBAL STATE has improved of late and is not out of it.

(5) PLAY ACT tends to lack a strong finish when he really needs it most but has a place chance again.

(2) GOLDEN LINK was not disgraced when third behind the selection last time. Should be in the battle for a cheque again.

Race 5 (1,600m)

(4) SUCHALIFE put in a career-best performance last time and sets the standard. She will need to confirm that last run.

(6) GREEN FAME can get involved with the finish.

(3) STATE SECRET has been unreliable of late but is capable of scoring if showing her best side.

(1) BEAU KALA is very game and will challenge for top honours once again.

Race 6 (1,200m)

(5) USA'S HOPE has shown good improvement with blinkers and on the Polytrack. He can complete a hat-trick.

(6) ANUSCHKA'S WORLD has very solid recent form and should be right there at the finish again.

(8) KARANGETANG makes his local debut and has a winning chance.

(3) GIMME'S LADDIE is clearly better than his last run would suggest and could surprise.

Race 7 (1,200m)

A very competitive race.

(13) BE MERRY is very speedy and can go all the way as this track has been showing a bias for front-runners of late.

(14) DISTING showed improvement with blinkers last time and can go one better.

(12) TRIP TO MAPUTO bounced back to form with a good recent win and can follow up.

(5) MONTELENA is in good form and can be competitive.

Race 8 (1,800m)

(8) JOY AND PEACE has had a tough last 12 months, so it was not really a surprise when a below-par effort occurred. She can bounce back to beat these rivals over a track and trip that suits.

The last run from (5) UNDERWORLD was below best but he can bounce back and be a real threat.

(4) SEQUOIA has improved of late and was a good winner last time and deserves respect.

(12) WOMAN'S WORLD is another one to consider.
