April 6 South Africa (Greyville) form analysis
Race 1 (1,400m)
(5) GURKHA was a recent arrival at Dean Kannemeyer's string.
(9) MASTER DU ROUVRAY needed his last effort when returning from a break and should strip fitter.
(1) FIRELIGHTER was a beaten favourite last run. Has claims.
(11) BLACK PLATINA was much improved last run. Wide draw but can feature first-up.
Race 2 (1,400m)
(2) BEACH PALACE won well enough in a small field last run. The stable is in form.
(4) MARIACHI MADNESS comes with some solid recent form although over shorter.
(3) RAFIKI is reunited with Calvin Habib, who rode him to his last win over course and distance.
(8) COTTON RON seldom runs a bad race. He steps up a furlong in trip but does have a 4kg claimer up.
Race 3 (1,400m)
(1) GOLDEN DESTINY won his last two at Hollywood Kenilworth. Well drawn, he could still be under the handicapper's radar.
(12) MAX THE MAGICIAN has drawn wide but has shown up well in his last two.
(10) TYRCONNELL has drawn a little deep but is seldom out of the money. Should go well.
(8) STARS IN HEAVEN goes well this trip. He takes on stronger but should run well again.
Race 4 (1,800m)
(11) FESTIVAL OF MAGIC has a wide draw but cheekpieces could see her improve.
(1) ELUSIVE BELLE will be dangerous if she can reproduce her penultimate run over course and distance with only 49kg.
(14) COUNT MARSH has the widest draw but was touched off over the trip last time.
(10) BASIE RAAKVAT is seldom far off them and goes well this trip.
Race 5 (1,800m)
(3) FIELD MARSHAL was most disappointing last start after a smart previous effort. Can atone.
Gavin Lerena has deserted Field Marshal to ride (1) SPIRIT OF LEVANA, whom he rode last time. Cheekpieces replace blinkers.
(4) QUATERMAIN has been knocking on the door. Consistent Highveld form.
(6) VIEW OF THE WORLD is hardly ever out of the money and cannot be ignored.
Race 6 (1,000m)
(8) INAFIX won well over the distance last time. He meets modest company and can follow up.
(4) MY SIRAYA should have a strong chance in this line-up.
(1) AVERNI PRINCESS had some fair form before the break. She has a handy weight and can surprise.
(5) PURPLE POWAHOUSE was running on late last start and can feature prominently in this field.
Race 7 (1,200m)
(7) VISION TO ACHIEVE has a big weight but looks primed for this.
(2) SAHARA DAWN ran well over course and distance last run and should be in the shake-up.
(1) DRIVE BY is over her best course and trip. 4kg claimer up.
(4) DYNASTY'S LAST has a chance in this line-up with her light weight.
Race 8 (1,200m)
(5) SLYTHERIN surprised on debut and has started at long odds in two subsequent starts.
(1) ANTONIO GAUDI was a recent maiden winner on the Highveld.
(3) WHO BLINKED has not been far back since breaking his maiden.
(12) EL DANTE just needed his last run. He should come on from his last effort.
