These snails reflect the multi-ethnic nature of Singapore, says Stomper

Stomper Lau Lup came across snails along the pavement on the way to a bus stop in Hougang last Wednesday (May 24).

These snail inspired him to reflect on the different ethnicity in Singapore. He believed that these snails truly represent the Singaporeans who live peacefully regardless of their race, skin colour, customs or beliefs.

For Lau Lup, the different-coloured snails symbolised our different skin colours.

Upon the encounter, he questioned, " Are we inspired to build our nation based on equality by learning from Mother Nature? Or is it the other way round, snails having to learn from us? "
