S'pore's First Lady steals the show at Chingay with random motherly moment

President Tony Tan’s wife, Mrs Mary Tan, stole the show at the Chingay 2017 parade when her random motherly act was captured on camera.
In a video posted online, the First Lady is standing next to Dr Tan on a float at the Chingay 2017 parade.
As Dr Tan waves to the joyous crowd around them, Mrs Tan is seen dusting confetti off the float driver’s head. The confetti had likely gotten stuck there during the celebrations.
Facebook users lauded her motherly act, with some saying it was very typical of Mrs Tan.
