Cyclist speeds across pedestrian crossing at Boon Keng Rd and gets knocked off bike by car
A cyclist who was speeding across a pedestrian crossing at the junction of Boon Keng Road and Serangoon Road was knocked down by a car.
A video of the incident was posted on Roads.sg's Facebook page today (May 10).
The uncle was clearly flouting traffic rules by speeding across the road while the red man was showing.
He was also going fast enough that there was no way for the oncoming car to react in time.
Even though the cyclist managed to brake hard upon noticing the car, he was still dangerously close and got hit by the side of the vehicle.
Thankfully, according to the post, the uncle was not seriously hurt.
"He was lucky this time around."
