Classic Disney songs get a new lease of life from S'pore Chinese music ensemble
For many of us, Disney movies and their songs were a big part of our childhood.
From Snow White, to The Little Mermaid, to Frozen, and even the upcoming Beauty and the Beast remake, it's undeniable that many of us have a soft spot for Disney.
The TENG Ensemble, a critically acclaimed Singaporean Chinese music ensemble, has given these old-school tunes a new sound with their medley of Disney songs.
In the medley, traditional Chinese instruments such as the sheng (a reed instrument with pipes) and the guzheng (a Chinese plucked-string instrument) play alongside Western instruments like the guitar and cello, in a fantastic fusion of Eastern and Western music.
Covering songs from 12 different Disney movies, there's a song in here for everyone!
