Young boys climb over fence at Bukit Batok Town Park to feed fish, mum ignores warning from bystander
A Stomper was shocked to see two young boys climb over a safety fence at Bukit Batok Town Park, also known as Little Guilin, to feed fish on July 27 at about 6.30pm.
In a video shared by the Stomper, a woman believed to be the boys' mother is standing on the other side of the fence watching them.
The trio is near a sign that says: "No feeding of wild animals."
"I informed her it was dangerous and that fish feeding is prohibited but she totally ignored me as if she was deaf," said the Stomper.
"What kind of upbringing is this?"
She added that safety and manners 'start from young'.
"These days, our youths are extremely entitled. They think the world owes them a living and it is such parents who encourage such bad behaviour and attitude."
The Stomper said this was not the first time she had witnessed people ignoring safety barriers at the park.
"Unfortunately, many people climb over the fence just to take photos," she said.
"I don't see what difference it makes climbing over and getting closer by just a few feet instead of standing in a safe area.
"It reminds me of all the people who risk their lives for Instagram pics."
