A woman was left disgusted and frustrated after discovering that someone had allegedly taken her daughter's footwear left outside their home.

Stomper Sarah alerted Stomp to a post made by Facebook user Mask Bling on April 21.

She wrote: "Gross much? Took my daughter's footwear.

"One of [them] left hers at the staircase landing near my unit.

"Having exchange [program] here?"

The woman suggested that one of the girls involved had swapped shoes with her daughter, leaving behind a different pair at the staircase.

In clips shared by the mother, two girls can be seen looking at the resident's shoe rack.

One of them then appears to try hiding the footwear in her jacket. Her companion is also seen wrapping something in a piece of clothing she's carrying.

In a follow-up comment, Mask Bling said she had made a police report.

Later the same day, she shared an update: "Found one of the girls."

She added that there had been a message exchange between the girls involved and her daughter, but said there was "not a word of apology".
