Woman still feeding birds in Yishun despite measures, leaving resident 'fearful'

NParks looking into case of woman who won't stop feeding birds in Yishun

She's still at it.
A woman known to illegally feed birds in Yishun Avenue 6 was caught in the act again recently.
This comes after Stomper JuzWantPeace shared last month the "ongoing public nuisance and health hazards" created by the woman in the vicinity of Blocks 465, 466 and 466A. She has apparently been doing this since November 2023.
Nee Soon Town Council told Stomp that despite multiple engagements with the woman, she persisted in the illegal feeding.
"As a last resort, we have also sought the help of the National Parks Board (NParks) to carry out enforcement measures," the town council added.
However, the woman does not appear to be deterred. She was spotted feeding birds again at around 4pm on Oct 14 by Stomper Jessie.
Jessie referred to the woman as the "bird lady" and said: "Although NParks was notified and the area has been cordoned off, I saw her from my living room window feeding pigeons and crows again.
"The number of birds has increased ever since she started feeding them. Whenever I walk past in the morning, I am so fearful that they will attack humans.
"I really don't know what we can do to her."
Stomp has contacted NParks for more info.
