A woman on a packed MRT train was caught on camera ranting about Covid-19 and ChatGPT on the afternoon of Nov 16.

Stomper SH, who shared a video of the incident, had boarded the train at Outram Park station on the East-West Line at around 4pm.

"The train was crowded with it being a Sunday afternoon," recounted the Stomper.

"I was listening to music with my earpods. After a few stops, I could hear loud shouts from a distance.

"At first, I didn't care, but later, I saw fellow passengers looking in a specific direction. So I lowered my music and looked over to see a woman shouting.

"She was saying loudly, 'The world thinks Covid-19 was spread by us Chinese, but in reality, it was spread by you people of Singapore. It was because of Singapore, and the whole world is blaming us.'

"She kept saying, 'You can ask ChatGPT and it will confirm what I am saying.'

"I took her video from a distance as the train was quite crowded. I zoomed in to the max and from this distance, you can hear how loud she was."

The Stomper continued: "A few passengers were smiling at the woman and also took videos, to which she responded, 'Yes, take my video. I am not scared of you people. I am from China.' She said her name as well.

"Later, she said wrong things about the Singapore Government and spoke in Mandarin."

Which, being a non-Chinese, the Stomper didn't understand.

"At Jurong East station, many people boarded the train, among which a guy spoke to her in Mandarin after listening to her," said the Stomper.

"The woman got violent, and started shouting and went charging at the guy. Some nearby ladies tried to stop her.

"By that time, my station came and had to get down."

The Stomper alighted at Chinese Garden station.

"I showed the video to the staff at the passenger service centre and told them this woman was harassing people on the train," said the Stomper.

Stomp has contacted SMRT for more info.
