A woman was feeding her toddler chicken rice, only to discover a live caterpillar wriggling in her food.

Stomper Ira said she visited Cantine by Kopitiam at Jurong Point on May 4.

She recounted: "I was feeding my son chicken rice. When I flipped the lettuce and cucumber to the side, I was shocked to see a caterpillar, alive and wriggling.

"I got immediate goosebumps. By then, I had already fed my toddler half of the chicken rice!"

A video taken by the Stomper shows a wriggling near a slice of cucumber.

Ira said she "confronted" the shop, whose staff apologised and gave a refund.

"However, they didn't seem surprised or apologetic, and went about their day as though nothing happened," she added.

Ira subsequently reported the incident to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).

Stomp has contacted SFA for more info.
