You're not seeing double.

A woman dressed up as the Merlion for Halloween and visited the Merlion statue at Merlion Park, where she startled and delighted some tourists.

TikToker Daisy Anne Mitchell, a British-born Singapore permanent resident, posted a video of herself in a large pale lion's head and a white dress getting her pictures taken with people and generally cutting it up.

Several tourists looked confused and one woman told Miss Mitchell to get away from her.

The goofy 24-second video has garnered more than 40,000 views since it was uploaded on Oct 28.

Another video shows Miss Mitchell putting on the Merlion head in front of the Merlion statue after saying this was why she should be given Singapore citizenship.

"Cause I'm dressed as a Merlion, bitch," said the content creator.

Speaking of the Merlion statue at Merlion Park, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said on Nov 4 that the statue will be undergoing cleaning and maintenance works on Dec 4.

"While these works are in progress, the main Merlion statue will be covered in scaffolding and will not be available for photo-taking. Meanwhile, the public is welcome to take photos with the nearby Merlion cub statue at the Merlion Park," added STB.

Perhaps STB should just ask Miss Mitchell to stand in.
