Woman, 63, dies after falling from Yishun block
A 63-year-old woman died after reportedly falling from a block at Yishun Ring Road on May 25.
Stomper AG told Stomp he went out to buy lunch at about 1pm when he spotted police presence near Block 115A Yishun Ring Road.
"There were four police cars and two black police vans," said the Stomper.
"I stood there to observe for a while before inching closer to take a look.
"They lifted a body onto the stretcher with white plastic covering it, but the wind lifted the plastic a little, and I saw it was an Indian lady wearing a sari."
AG said the scene was heartbreaking.
"There was a lot of blood around the area," he added.
"It was really sad and tragic. I hope the family will have closure soon."
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to a case of fall from height at about 10.30am.
"A 63-year-old woman was found motionless at the foot of the said block and was pronounced dead at scene by an SCDF paramedic," a police spokesperson said.
Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play.
Police investigations are ongoing.
