We need more heartwarming sights like this in Singapore

Stomper Nana was heartened to see two different racial groups -- Muslims who had just finished their prayers and a Chinese funeral procession -- showing each other respect.

She came across the amazing sight at Block 149 near Bedok Reservoir, on Friday (Jan 20) at around noon.

Said the Stomper:

"We Muslims had just performed our Friday prayers at the nearby mosque and at the same time, Chinese family members were also bidding the final goodbye to their loved ones.

"It really amazed me that people gathered at the carpark, waiting for the 'azan' to end. As soon as the 'azan' ended, they started to move and got ready with their musical instruments.

"Kudos to them! #respecteachotherreligion #multiracial"

On Jan 14, former Member of Parliament (MP) Maidin Packer made a similar observation and posted on Facebook about how people have 'clearly grown to respect each other'.
