A van tried to squeeze between two other vehicles and was sent crashing through the road divider to the other side of the East Coast Parkway (ECP), where it hit another car.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at about 5pm on Nov 10 to the accident involving two vans and a car along ECP towards Changi.

No injuries were reported.

A dashcam video of the accident was shared by SG Road Vigilante.

The van can be seen travelling on the leftmost lane of the three-lane ECP faster than the other vehicles.

Coming up against a slower-moving lorry ahead of it, the van squeezed through a gap between the lorry and another van.

The driver then seemed to lose control and the van hurtled through the potted plants used as the central divider.

A still picture embedded in the video shows the van with its front crumpled, with a car stopped in front of it with its boot open.

Police investigations are ongoing.
