The fried chicken with pinkish meat in the photos shared by a customer was cooked and safe to eat, said McDonald's.

Stomp earlier reported that the Stomper found the McCrispy he bought from a McDonald's outlet in Bukit Batok to be "uncooked".

The photos show two pieces of fried chicken with pinkish meat under the deep-fried skin.

In response to a Stomp query, McDonald's said: "We appreciate all feedback from our customers.

"Based on the image provided, our quality assurance team has advised that the product is indeed cooked.

"Due to the nature of the chicken parts used, the redness of the meat is a normal observation and the product is still safe for consumption.

"We have also reached out to the customer to address any concerns.

"We would like to assure all our customers that we are 100 per cent committed to serving safe and quality food at all times."
