Uncle curses and blows cigarette smoke at man who keeps filming him -- and netizens love him for it
A man was caught on camera smoking in public, but netizens are siding him instead of the person who filmed him.
Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to a Facebook video of the incident posted on May 24, in which an uncle is seen smoking on two separate occasions. Both times, he also verbally abused the person taking the video.
In the first instance, the uncle appeared to be caught off-guard from behind along a sheltered walkway near a carpark.
When he turned around and noticed the cameraman, he immediately blew smoke at him and scolded him with Hokkien vulgarities.
On another occasion, the uncle wore an 'I love Singapore' shirt and was caught standing in front of a watermelon mural.
Again, he scolded the cameraman in Hokkien, and shook both his fists.
The cameraman walked backwards, away from the uncle, who continued his vulgar tirade.
Facebook users shared their opinions on the situation, where one expressed: “I don't know what the uncle is saying, but I'm supporting the uncle.”
Another remarked: “The video taker has a dream of becoming a National Environment Agency officer. Nothing better to do.”
Comments like “steady uncle” and “power uncle” were also abundant.
One user said: “The cameraman thought when he recorded this that people were going to support him, but it's the opposite. People support the uncle… Hahaha.”
