Two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, were apprehended after they were spotted sitting on the ledge of a parapet at KK Women's and Children's Hospital on May 13.

Stomper HQ, who passed by the scene at around 11pm, shared a video showing police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers at the scene.

In the video, the two teen girls can be seen with one leg each over the ledge. They were also swinging their legs.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at 100 Bukit Timah Road at 9.20pm.

"Officers from the Crisis Negotiation Unit and Singapore Civil Defence Force also responded to the incident," police added.

Booth teenagers were brought down to safety and subsequently apprehended under Section 7 of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act.

No injuries were reported.

The SCDF said it received a call for assistance at around 9.25pm and deployed one safety life pack as a precautionary measure.

HQ told Stomp: "The authorities managed to get the two girls off the ledge and into the building."
