Two men wield 'weapons' during fight near Lakeside MRT station, both arrested
Two men were caught on camera in a fight as a third guy tried to stop them.
A Stomper shared a video of the incident, which occurred at a bazaar near Lakeside MRT station on the night of Aug 22.
In the video, a man who has his shirt can be seen wielding a weapon and picking up a blue basin from the ground. He brandishes the knife at another man while using the basin to block the other party's blows.
The other man is seen striking back with what appears to be tongs.
A third man can be seen trying to break up the altercation throughout.
The Stomper said: "There is a short clip of the incident circulating online, but I am sharing the full video with Stomp.
"The police came, but the men claimed that they were just fighting with their hands and not weapons."
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the fight at around 8.40pm.
They added: "A 39-year-old man suffered minor injuries and was arrested for affray. Another 41-year-old man was arrested for affray and voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous means."
Police investigations are ongoing.
