Stalled trains appear to be a more common occurrence this year.
On Sept 17, 11 trains stalled in the Circle Line tunnels during the traction power outage that disrupted train services along the entire line.
A faulty train was "recovered to the depot" after causing a delay between Queenstown to Bugis stations on the East-West Line (EWL) on Oct 10 afternoon.
A stalled train caused a service delay between Woodlands North and Lentor on the Thomson-East Coast Line in the early evening of Oct 1.
This followed a six-day disruption between Jurong East and Buona Vista stations on the EWL from Sept 25 to 30 caused by a faulty train on its way back to Ulu Pandan Depot after being withdrawn from service left major damage in its wake.
