Town council visits Segar Road resident who left bird cage swinging in the wind, but no one home
A resident was on tenterhooks as he watched a birdcage - hung from the 10th floor of Block 470 Segar Road - swing in the wind.
Stomper W expressed worry for the bird in the cage as well as for the safety of residents.
Sharing photos and videos of the cage swinging on July 3, he said: "Look at the strong winds. The cage might be blown off the hook anytime and fall from the 10th floor to the ground floor, killing the bird or causing severe injury to residents.
"A summons should be given instead of getting an innocent bird killed. Let's protect small animals from harm."
W also reported the matter via the OneService app and said: "I met with town council staff and showed them the video."

In response to a Stomp query, a spokesperson for Holland-Bukit Panjang Town Council aid: "Please be assured that our property management team is actively addressing this matter.
"Our team has already made a visit to the unit; however, the resident was not at home at the time. We have left a service card with a request for them to contact us at their earliest convenience.
"Our team will continue efforts to establish direct contact and ensure the matter is resolved in a timely and appropriate manner."
Residents are reminded that preventing killer litter is a shared responsibility, the spokesperson added.
"We seek the continued cooperation of our community to remain vigilant and report any unsafe practices or items that may pose a danger to others.
"Together, we can help maintain a safe and secure living environment for everyone."
