Taxi driver and passenger taken to hospital after accident with another car at Serangoon

A taxi driver and his passenger were taken to hospital after an accident involving another car at Serangoon Road on March 17.

The police told Stomp they were alerted to the accident at 11.15pm.

The 49-year-old male taxi driver and his 44-year-old female passenger were taken to the hospital conscious.

The 48-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations.

A photo posted on Facebook by Beh Chia Lor - Singapore Road shows the mangled back of the taxi. The black car to the right also sustained damage to its front.

In response to a Stomp query, a ComfortDelGro spokesperson said: "We are aware of the accident that occurred in Serangoon.

"Both our cabby and the passenger on board sustained injuries and were conveyed to the hospital.

"We will be providing support to them.

"We are also assisting the police in their investigations."

Police investigations are ongoing.
