Five people were taken to hospital after a chain collision involving five vehicles on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) on March 29.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to a video of the incident, which was posted on SGRV's Facebook page.

The video shows a yellow taxi colliding into the back of a white car which is behind a stationary grey car on the right-most lane of the expressway. Two other cars are seen stopping abruptly behind the taxi.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident involving four cars and a taxi at about 3.30pm.

The people taken conscious to hospital include a 22-year-old female car passenger, a 27-year-old male car driver, a 70-year-old male taxi driver and his two passengers, a 52-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman.

Police investigations are ongoing.
