Superstar Henry Lau draws large crowd at ION Orchard
A large crowd flocked to ION Orchard on May 29 for a glimpse of Canadian singer-songwriter Henry Lau.
The former Super Junior-M member, 35, was in town for the grand opening of Lacoste's flagship store at the mall.
Stomper Boomer shared photos showing a sea of people outside Sephora at around 6.20pm.
She recounted: "When I reached Ion Orchard in the afternoon, I thought it was more crowded than usual for a weekday, but did not think much about it.
"When I was about to leave the mall, I noticed a huge crowd outside Sephora. It was mostly young ladies, but also some men, though some looked curious like me and just wanted to see what was happening.
"I thought people were queuing for something, so I asked someone what was going on. She told me, 'Someone called Henry Lau is here for an event.'"
The Stomper did not stay for a celebrity sighting.
She explained: "I have never heard of him. I just wanted to go to a shop opposite Sephora, but the crowd was blocking the way, so I left."
Lau had posted about visiting Singapore on his social media accounts.
