Strange talisman confuses and amuses Hougang residents: 'TP, LTA, don't see me'
A strange 'talisman' was pasted on a fire hydrant in Hougang.
It reads: "TP, LTA, don't see me."
A female resident living nearby informed Lianhe Zaobao that the talisman had been pasted on a fire hydrant near Block 690 Hougang Street 61 about five months ago.
"I feel a bit uncomfortable every time I pass by it, so I take a detour to avoid it," she said.
Eventually, upon closer observation, she found there was odd writing on the talisman.
The talisman was made with adhesive tape, which is durable and does not block the connection between the fire hydrant and the water pipe.
A 60-year-old resident named Mr Xu said that he usually goes to the fitness corner near the fire hydrant to exercise in the morning.
When he found the strange talisman, he was both amused and confused.
"It must be someone playing a prank," he said.
