Stomper upset by illegally parked motorcycle claims he's filed at least 4 police reports
A resident is fed up with the repeated illegal parking of a motorcycle on a pedestrian walkway.
Stomper Goh told Stomp about his frustration with a motorcyclist who keeps parking and riding on a pavement near Block 715 Havelock Road.
He explained: "The town council has been informed numerous times and I've sent photos and videos to the Member of Parliament.
"I have filed at least four traffic police reports.
"Up until March 30, nothing has been done."
Goh claimed a senior property manager replied to his complaints, assuring him that a traffic summons was issued in March.
However, he said that he did not receive any further reply.
"I emailed the property manager the photos taken on May 19 and May 25, but there was no response."
In response to a Stomp query, Jalan Besar Town Council said: "Jalan Besar Town Council regularly conducts enforcement and issues summons for illegal motorcycle parking in the estate.
"In cases where the areas of offence are not under the town council's purview, we work with the relevant authorities by sharing the information with them for their follow-up action.
"We would like to remind motorcyclists to park at the proper designated parking lots, so as to ensure a safe environment for everyone."
