Stomper unhappy to see woman sitting with dog at coffee shop -- but is she doing anything wrong?
A man noticed a coffee shop patron sitting with her dog at Block 631 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4.
Stomper Tiger took issue with the woman allowing her dog to sit on a chair at AMK 631 Coffee Shop.
Photos he shared show the woman and her furry companion sitting side by side at a coffee shop table.
While this would have been considered illegal in the past, the Singapore Food Agency has since changed their laws regarding bringing pets into coffee shops.
With effect from January 1 this year, patrons are allowed to bring pets along for dine-in at Outdoor Refreshment Areas (ORAs).
ORAs are open areas outside the main structure of buildings or the food premises that are not enclosed, even if under shelter. They must be accessible without needing to go through the food premises, like the stalls.
However, pets are still not be allowed at hawker centres. This is in consideration that hawker centres are communal spaces, unlike ORAs of privately-managed food businesses.
