Local actor Peter Yu and influencer Simonboy's chicken rice stall opened to much fanfare on June 2.

Singaporean director Jack Neo as well as celebrities including Henry Thia and Dawn Yeoh were amongst those who graced Singabola Chicken Rice's grand opening.

The stall is located in the Lepak One Corner coffee shop at 1001 Yishun Industrial Park A.

Stomper Wei Sien shared his experience visiting the stall on June 4, at around 6.55pm.

Wei Sien, who paid $5.50 for a plate of steamed chicken rice, said: "I went down to support Peter Yu and Simonboy's chicken rice. The place was a bit crowded.

"The chicken was very delicious and overall, the taste is just nice.

"I wanted to eat chicken rice and also see Simonboy, but he was not there. However, I will still go back there to support his chicken rice."

Stomp visited the stall on the evening on June 6 and ordered the $6.50 Singapura Chicken Rice Ball.

The rice ball contained chicken meat, egg and cucumber, which felt like a novelty. Its exterior was fried, crispy and quite tasty.

However, it felt like there was too much rice and not enough ingredients.

The soup was flavourful without being overly salty, but the chilli lacked kick and was not spicy enough.
