Stomper: Stop blaming animals for attacking us and invading our spaces when we're destroying their homes

Can wildlife and humans co-exist peacefully?
Stomper Harry James penned a thought-provoking piece reflecting on animal attacks in Singapore and the loss of habitat for these creatures.
He said: "Can we really push all blame onto the monkeys or wild animals who attack us and invade our spaces? We have taken over their habitats to build our homes, columbariums for our loved ones, factories, and all other buildings to serve us humans.
"All these animals were here even before we were born. I am seeing animals that I never ever thought even existed in Singapore.
"Spare a thought for these animals and live alongside them. Without these animals, we are all nothing.
"We put animals in cages and controlled surroundings in zoos and bird parks, for us humans to view.
"Put yourself in their place behind bars, with them looking at us from the other side. Yes, it feels weird, right?
"So stop complaining and just live alongside them. Avoid animals when you are near them and keep your distance. Rules and regulations are in place in all locations to avoid confrontations. Just follow the rules and you will be safe."
