Stomper shares how to snag good deals for hotel mooncakes as low as $7.50 each
Mooncake lovers, take note.
You don't need to head across the Causeway to Johor Bahru (JB) to snag a good deal this Mid-Autumn Festival.
Stomper Grey told Stomp he was 'extremely surprised' to find four-piece mooncake boxes from five-star hotels in Singapore going for under $30 after stacking online discounts and coupons.
"It works out to less than $7.50 per piece, which is cheaper than some of the traditional brands in JB," he said.

According to Grey, the trick is to:
- Wait for hotels to put their mooncakes on flash sales.
- Stack with shop coupons if available.
- Use Shopee's 25% discount (capped at $15).
Grey shared screenshots of his finds and said he also posted them on his 'lobang' page so fellow Singaporeans could enjoy the deals too.

Some of the best bargains he found included:
- Parkroyal Marina Bay - $29+ (4 assorted pieces)
- InterContinental Bugis - $31+ (4 assorted pieces)
- Shangri-La Singapore - $34+ (4 assorted pieces)
- Even premium double yolk four-piece sets saw steep discounts, such as:
- Marriott Tang Plaza - $45+
- Fullerton Hotel - $47+
- InterContinental Bugis - $49+
- Conrad Orchard - $50+
- Fairmont Singapore - $50+
- Goodwood Park - $57+
Other deals included Peach Garden's four-piece set at $37+.
The Stomper had more 'lobangs' beyond mooncakes.
He also shared that he scored cheap airfares during the NATAS online fair via the Trip app. He booked return flights for:
- Singapore-Bangkok (Thai Airways, Dec 2025) - $169 (all-in)
- Singapore-Taipei (China Airlines, Nov/Dec 2025) - $249 (all-in)

"It's all about fastest fingers first," he added.
