Stomper intrigued by 'sick tree with flu-like' symptoms along Jalan Bukit Merah

Stomper Lau Lup has made another interesting discovery about nature -- this time involving a tree.

The tree that he saw near Block 105 in Jalan Bukit Merah exuded golden-yellow sap that could solidify.

Lau Lup said:

"I found this sick tree with flu-like symptoms along the roadside on Friday, 17 June. It was drizzling at that time.

"The tree exuded lots of golden yellow sap on its trunk. The sap has solidified and reminded me of amber.

"I have never seen anything like this. I wonder if there is any use of the solidified sap.

"Perhaps readers might know something about the tree and its properties."
