Meet Aunty Susan.

At 76, she has a home-based business in Tampines offering alteration services.

One customer, Stomper Hidayati, was so inspired by Aunty Susan's enthusiasm and determination that the Stomper made a TikTok video about Aunty Susan to support her business.

In the video, Aunty Susan can be seen in her wheelchair taking the measurements of a customer and being "happy go lucky" in her flat at Block 274 Tampines Street 22.

Hidayati said she found Aunty Susan via Carousell when the Stomper was looking for someone to do alterations.

"She’s already 76 years old and hustling at her age," said Hidayati.

"She's still on medication and healing from a stroke. She can stand but not for long and she cannot walk much. Therefore she always needs to be in a wheelchair."

Aunty Susan told the Stomper that she has been sewing since she was a child.

"She’s doing this for a living, for her daily needs and also her medication," said Hidayati.

"She does not have any social media, WhatsApp, et cetera. So she depends on word of mouth for her business."

Aunty Susan also mentioned that she was a teacher in the 1990s.

Indeed, someone in the TikTok comment section said she was Aunty Susan's student in 1995. Another netizen said her mother was Aunty Susan's student.

The video has since garnered more than 100,000 views.

The Stomper said: "We are inspired by her enthusiasm and determination at her age. This doesn’t stop the hustle.

"We hope the video can reach out to more people and more people will support her to get more income for her daily needs."

Another TikToker by the name of Maggie also featured Aunty Susan in a video in January last year.
