A son is appealing for help in reuniting with his mother, who has been missing for nearly two decades.

Stomper Khairin shared with Stomp that his mother, Salinah Binte Jumaat, left her family in 2005 and was last seen in Ulu Mukah, Sarawak in Malaysia.

Despite Khairin and his family's best efforts to locate her, including making police reports, there has been no trace of her.

Looking for closure, Khairin is turning to the public for assistance, hoping that someone might have seen her or know of her whereabouts.

"It's been on my mind for the past 20 years," Khairin shared. "I am reaching out to seek your help in locating my mother.

"We've lost touch and I just want to reconnect, understand more about our past, and hopefully rebuild our relationship."

"She hasn't been seen by any of our close family members since 2005.

"I've tried seeking help, and so have my family members, but we're at our wit's end."

Despite the difficult circumstances, Khairin remains hopeful.

"Our family has never given up hope that she will return to our embrace one day," he said.
