Delivery rider claims Safra Choa Chu Kang lacks proper parking space for them -- and calls out rude sticker
A food delivery rider has called out Safra Choa Chu Kang for not providing a proper parking space for delivery riders.
But the club told Stomp a parking area had been designated for riders since May.
Stomper Crown recounted: "First, they said it was okay to park at the entrance.
"But soon riders were to park behind the building where Burger King drive-through is, which was okay as it's a big space for bikes to park.
"But as time went by, Safra put cones with barrier tape along the greenery."
The safety cones were to prevent parking in the area, but riders still left their mobility devices there.
"There were incidents where drivers who were not skilled in turning in the driveway almost banged into me," said the Stomper.

And that wasn't the only indignity.
"Recently, I saw the management put a warning sticker on the wall. I am confident it was them because things like this would be removed when they placed the cones," the rider told Stomp on July 6.
"The sticker was in Malay with the words, 'This is not your father's.'
"It was just rude. What did they take riders for? Kids?
"And it's a public place. It's passive-aggressive and a turn-off."

In response to a Stomp query, a Safra Choa Chu Kang spokesperson said Safra had enhanced parking arrangements at the club to facilitate efficient and safe collections for delivery riders.
"Since May 2025, a designated parking area had been set aside at the club's loading bay, which is within 100m from the club's F&B establishments and can accommodate about 10 delivery riders at any one time," explained the spokesperson.
"Following the feedback raised by the delivery rider to Stomp, additional signages have also been placed at prominent locations, including the club's driveway drop-off point, to direct delivery riders to the designated parking area.
"Delivery riders are not permitted to park along the club's driveway drop-off point or along the fast food drive-through lane. This is to avoid congestion and ensure safety of all club visitors."
Safra Choa Chu Kang also claimed to be unaware of the warning sticker before Stomp contacted the club.
The spokesperson told Stomp on July 14: "The feedback received by Stomp also mentioned a sticker pasted on the wall near the club's fast food drive-through.
"This sticker was not authorised by the club and has been removed. This sticker constitutes an act of vandalism that the club has reported it to the police."
The Stomper told Stomp on July 16: "Clearly, they don't have clear instructions on where to park if they have moved the parking area because I don't know there is a new parking area.
"And I've been going there since forever, but I did see recently the sticker have been removed and a sign pasted on the wall at the restaurant to go to the loading bay."
Less than two years old, Safra Choa Chu Kang was officially opened in November 2023.
