Stomper browsing Google Earth spots SIA plane at Pulau Tekong: 'How did it end up there?'
A Singapore Airlines (SIA) plane on Pulau Tekong?
Stomper Alex was surprised to spot the aircraft on the island north-east of the Singapore mainland while browsing Google Earth one day.
"An SQ plane in reclaimed western Tekong!" exclaimed the Stomper.
"Google Earth history shows it has been there from June 2024."

Intrigued, he had questions.
"If it's a real SQ plane, how did it end up there? Emergency landing? Did it have passengers on board? Very curious to know the reasons it ended up there," said the Stomper.
According to Google, the images in Google Earth are taken by cameras on satellites and aircraft, which collect each image at a specific date and time.
The aircraft was likely not on the ground but flying in the air above Pulau Tekong when the image was captured by a satellite camera.
"Makes sense now as it could be taking off from Changi Airport," said the Stomper.
