'Sour, soggy and spoiled': Woman irked by $30 purchase from Marsiling stall, SFA looking into case
A woman spent more than $30 on lunch for her family on Aug 2, but was left with a sour taste in her mouth - literally.
Stomper Aqilah said the food she bought from the Nur Muslim Delight coffee shop stall at Block 131 Marsiling Rise at 10am was all spoiled.
She described her purchases: "1. Four packets of nasi lemak - The egg in every packet was spoiled, had a sticky texture, and gave off a sour smell and taste, indicating it was no longer safe for consumption.
"2. Lontong - Similarly, the gravy tasted sour and off, suggesting it was also spoiled.
"3. Mee siam kuah - The noodles were overly soggy and the overall taste was unpleasant, raising concerns about its freshness and quality."

Aqilah, who was "very disappointed" by the incident, reported it to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and hopes it is looked into seriously.
"Selling spoiled food is not only unhygienic but also poses serious health risks," she added.
"As a paying customer, I expected the food to be fresh, safe and enjoyable to eat - unfortunately, this was far from the case.
"I spent over $30 and regret it. How can a stall serve spoiled food to customers? This is unacceptable."
In response to a Stomp query, SFA said it is looking into the matter.
"Food safety is a joint responsibility," the agency reminded.
"While SFA puts in place and enforces the regulatory measures, food operators must play their part by adhering to good food hygiene and preparation practices. Food operators should also ensure their premises are clean and well-maintained."
Members of the public who have concerns about food safety practices by food operators should report to SFA via the online feedback form.
SFA said it takes a serious view towards food safety and will investigate all feedback alleging poor food safety practices.
As part of the enquiry and gathering of evidence, SFA may engage the feedback provider for more details and will not hesitate to take enforcement action if sufficient evidence has been obtained.
