Smoking hot Mercedes at Jalan Membina carpark

A car caught fire in a multistorey carpark at Block 18A Jalan Membina on Aug 27.

Stomper Jackson shared videos of the silver Mercedes on fire. Smoke can be seen emitting from the vehicle.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp it was alerted to the fire, which involved the car's engine compartment, at around 6pm.

SCDF extinguished the fire using a hose reel.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
