'Sibeh heng' individual spends $28 on Toto bet at Lucky Plaza... wins $8m top prize

One person had the windfall of a lifetime after spending $28 on Toto two days ago (Sep 18).
According to the Lianhe Wanbao, the extremely fortunate individual took home the top prize of more than $8 million after purchasing a QuickPick System 8 ticket from Lucky Plaza.
The name of the place where the ticket was bought, however, was not the only 'lucky sign' for the winner.
Lianhe Wanbao said that some regard '28' as an auspicious number as it sounds like "easy prosper" in Cantonese (yih faat).
The jackpot of $8,030,687 was the highest so far this year, after snowballing from the past three draws which saw no winners, reports AsiaOne.
