Shopper opens bulky package... only to find 'exploded' power bank
A shopper was disappointed to find the power bank he bought was broken.
Stomper Tom purchased a purple power bank for $8.76 on Shopee on June 26.
He received the delivery on June 28, but realised something was wrong.
"I felt the package was very bulky, so I did not open it as I needed to pass it to my friend," Tom said.
"My friend opened it and found the internal compartment exploded.
"I think it exploded during delivery as I had ordered local stock, meaning I didn't buy it from overseas.
Photos shared by Tom showed the broken power bank casing and the bulging battery inside.
Quickly, Tom requested a full refund on Shopee, which was approved on June 30.
The Stomper was satisfied with the quick refund and said: "I felt happy that they were responsible and showed concern.
"No questions asked, just a refund immediately."
