A motorcyclist and a car driver were taken to hospital after they were involved in an accident with a bus that appeared to have no driver at Jurong Island Highway on Oct 2.

A video of the incident has been circulating online.

In the footage, the private bus with a decal of Mandai Wildlife Reserve on its side is seen coming out into oncoming traffic before hitting a car.

A motorcyclist cannot stop in time and rides into the side of the bus before falling to the ground.

The bus appears to reverse before moving forward again as passers-by attempt to stop it from moving.

A man wearing white suddenly appears in the driver's seat and utilises the handbrake to stop the vehicle.

Other motorists stop to check on the rider and the driver inside the car.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 7.45am.

"A 26-year-old male motorcyclist and a 49-year-old male car driver were conveyed conscious to the hospital," a police spokesperson said.

" A 52-year-old male bus driver is assisting with investigations."

Police investigations are ongoing
