Residents living at Prince Charles Crescent in Tanglin have raised concerns about the growing issue of littering in the area, particularly near a Housing Board project worksite that began last year.

One of the residents, Stomper Xav shared that they have noticed a significant increase in trash accumulating along the street, at the bus stop, on the overhead bridge, and most recently, next to rubbish bins where improper disposal has led to unsightly piles of garbage.

The situation has become more than just an eyesore, it is now considered a serious hygiene and safety concern.

According to Xav, a resident of the area, much of the litter consists of packed meals and drink cans.

"We strongly believe this has to do with the construction workers from the worksite," he said.

"A large amount of garbage has accumulated next to the rubbish bin because it has not been collected or disposed of properly, resulting in an unhygienic and potentially hazardous situation.

"Perhaps it's high time the authorities step in and take action immediately."
