Residents cover 66-year-old woman's body after she's found dead at foot of Toa Payoh block

A 66-year-old woman was found dead at the foot of a block in Toa Payoh on Oct 8.

Stomper Anonymous shared photos of the incident that happened at Block 195 Kim Keat Avenue, describing it as a "sad scene".

In one image, residents were seen helping to cover the woman's body with sheets.

Other photos show police officers at the block, including next to a blue police tent.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to a case of fall from height at about 10.20am.

"A 66-year-old woman was found lying motionless at the foot of the said block and was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic," a police spokesperson said.

"Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play."

Investigations are ongoing.
