Resident pissed off by elderly siblings who have been peeing in lift at Havelock Road block
Residents believe a pair of siblings have been urinating in a lift at Block 22 Havelock Road since last year.
Stomper Anonymous shared pictures of the mess, where urine can be seen on the floor of the lift. The photos were taken on April 24 and April 26, at 7.05pm and 4.08pm respectively.
Anonymous said the urination has continued despite him texting the estate's cleaning manager "almost every day, sometimes two to three times a day".
He told Stomp: "Many residents, who are staying near Lift C, are aware of who the culprit is: a brother-and-sister pair who are in their 60s.
"After they urinate in the lift, it will spread to almost every level, when residents exit the lift.
"Cleaners do mop the lift but the Dettol they use leaves a strong smell, which might not be good for health.
"The situation persisted even after I called Jalan Besar Town Council, then stopped for just one or two weeks after I emailed the Minister of Parliament (MP). The National Environment Agency (NEA) are aware of the culprits."
Following a Stomp query, JBTC said they are aware of the situation and have been stepping up the frequency of cleaning of the areas.
"As the matter concerns public health and cleanliness, we have also referred the matter to NEA for their attention.
"We would like to assure residents that the town council is closely monitoring the situation and working with the relevant stakeholders to resolve the issue."
